The Authentic House Museum, located in the Al-Zaidi neighborhood of Mecca, one of the holiest places on earth, has begun welcoming visitors from the local community to explore its historical exhibits spanning over 1,000 years. Each corner of the museum holds stories and tales worthy of attention. Al-Watan newspaper visited the museum and documented its contents and artifacts, which vividly depict historical periods in Mecca. Among the exhibits is the Zubayda Spring Jar, which is over 1,000 years old. The museum's owner, Sheikh Adel Amin Hafez, explained to Al-Watan that the museum contains numerous antique artifacts representing the civilization of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the past 100 years. The museum also includes sections dedicated to traditional professions, some of which have disappeared, while others have become family names in Saudi Arabia. Such as blacksmiths, carpenters, frankincense makers, cotton merchants, rosary makers, goldsmiths, and others. The museum also includes a section dedicated to gas-powered appliances representing the pre-electricity era, a section for ancient coins, and another for antique audio-visual equipment. Hafez pointed out that what distinguishes the museum is a complete replica of the Kaaba's covering and its details. The museum also blends the past with the present through large informational screens displaying important information for visitors. The museum consists of three floors and is located in the Al-Zaidi neighborhood of Mecca. Hafez added that what distinguishes the exhibition is the visitor's sense of the past, achieved through specially designed decorations that allow visitors to experience this atmosphere firsthand. Many artifacts are also made available for visitors to touch and sit around, reminiscent of traditional seating arrangements.
